One Monday morning in October, the power goes out in Boston and apparently all across the nation. Martin decides to go home rather than get stuck in downtown Boston. With traffic gridlocked and no busses leaving for New Hampshire, his only option is to walk the 50 miles. He's not really ready for that.

Hi Ignorant. Thanks for commenting. The homeless dude in Chapter 1 is modeled after a panhandler I’d known for years. He was usually in or around Liberty Square as I walked to the bus station. Nice enough guy, just never got enough traction to get out of being homeless. (old and sickly) Keep up the hard work of saving America. There are more than enough trying to tear it down or replace it with Naive Utopia.

Boy is this a clear reason that I go to work in my Dodge diesel 4X4 every season of the year. There could be traffic, but then again... ”Roads...Where we’re going we don’t need roads!” Those cute electric cars that are barely of the road? Ridiculous. Why does Martin want to help out a homeless dude? Maybe the guy just needs to experience some consequences of being a bum to motivate him to get a job. We ”Tea Party Extremists” are trying to SAVE America from becoming addict to the Eastern Block, dammit. ”Cathedrals to kumbiya enlightenment”.indeed!
